A new phone is bought quickly – and ten years of memories are gone just as quickly if there is no backup. This course starts right there.
In three hours we set up your backup together: the Google backup for contacts and photos, the separate backup for WhatsApp, plus passwords and two-factor codes. Afterwards you not only know that backups are happening, you can check them yourself.
What you will learn
- The most important backup: setting up the Google backup correctly and checking that contacts and photos really are saved.
- WhatsApp: backing up chats with texts, photos and videos to the cloud, step by step.
- Saving passwords and the vital 2FA codes of two-factor authentication.
- The move: how the backup is restored on the new device – shown with an example.
- The checklist: how to proceed when resetting your old device.
What to bring
- Your current, charged Android smartphone (not an iPhone).
- You are comfortable with the basic operation of your device.
- You should know your Google password – if not, we will set a new one together during the course.
