Notes on our blog articles
We write this blog to share knowledge. So that it is clear from the outset what you can expect from our articles – and what you cannot – we have summarised it here.
1. What our articles are for
Our blog articles contain general information, assessments and experience from our daily practice. They are addressed to the general public and are intended to give you a first overview and some orientation.
They are no substitute for advice on your individual case. Whether a solution described here fits your organisation, your technical environment and your specific situation cannot be judged from a distance. Before you make decisions on the basis of an article, please talk to us or to another qualified party.
2. Not legal or tax advice
Some articles touch on legal topics such as data protection, IT security or the EU AI Act. This is general information and expressly not a legal service within the meaning of § 2 (1) of the German Legal Services Act (RDG) – we do not examine individual cases. The same applies to tax matters.
For a binding assessment of your situation, please consult a lawyer, your tax adviser or the competent authority.
3. No advisory or information contract
Accessing, reading or using our blog articles does not create any information, advisory or other contract between you and ValBit GmbH. The articles are published free of charge and without reference to any particular person or situation; they carry no intention to create legal relations.
Under § 675 (2) of the German Civil Code (BGB), a person who gives advice or a recommendation to another is not liable to compensate damage arising from following it. Statements in our articles are therefore non-binding and do not give rise to any claims for liability, damages or otherwise. Our statutory liability under section 7 remains unaffected.
4. Publication date and currency
Every article shows its publication date and, if it has been revised, the date of the last update. It reflects our knowledge at that point in time.
Particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, tools, features, prices and legal frameworks change quickly. We are under no obligation to keep older articles continuously up to date. Please verify time-critical details at the original source.
5. Not a binding offer
Details of seminars, courses, services, dates or prices given in blog articles are non-binding and do not constitute a legally binding offer. Only our current quotations and our general terms and conditions are binding.
Registering via our website is always a non-binding enquiry. A contract is concluded only once we confirm the registration in text form.
6. Transparency: promotional content and use of AI
This blog is part of the ValBit GmbH website. We therefore also write about our own services and seminars – the promotional character follows from that context. We do not use paid third-party posts, sponsored content or affiliate links. Should that ever change, we will label them clearly.
Where we use AI tools when producing articles, every published text is reviewed and editorially owned by us.
7. Liability
We prepare our articles with care, but cannot guarantee that they are accurate, complete or up to date.
Our statutory liability remains unaffected. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. In cases of ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of a material obligation whose fulfilment is essential and on whose observance you may regularly rely; in that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of relationship. Claims under the German Product Liability Act remain unaffected.
8. Links to other websites
Our articles link to third-party websites. We have no influence on their content; the respective provider is solely responsible for it. At the time of linking we checked those pages for recognisable legal violations.
Permanently monitoring the content of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications. If we become aware of legal violations, we will remove the link promptly.
9. Copyright and trade marks
The texts, graphics and other content of this blog created by us are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote and link to our articles as long as you name the source. For any use beyond that, in particular reproducing or adapting entire articles, please send us a brief enquiry – we tend to be straightforward about it.
Third-party content is marked as such. Trade marks and product names mentioned are the property of their respective owners; they are named for information purposes and imply no connection to them.
10. Spotted a mistake?
We work carefully, but mistakes happen. If something in an article strikes you as wrong or outdated, please drop us a line at info@valbit.de. We will look into it and correct it promptly. That expressly includes cases where you believe an article infringes your rights.
11. Supplementary provisions
Our imprint, our privacy policy and – for contracts covering our services – our general terms and conditions apply in addition. German law applies. This English text is a translation for convenience; in case of doubt the German version prevails.
