There is a simple reason for this blog: every day our seminars raise questions that are far too good to stay in the training room. How do I even get started with AI? What may I type into an AI tool, and what had better stay out? How do I tell a solid offer from a weak one? Those are exactly the questions we want to answer here – in plain language, without jargon.

Before we get going, a quick introduction.

Who we are

ValBit GmbH was founded in 2023 by Wolfgang Duttlinger in Waldshut-Tiengen, out of one conviction: digitalisation should never be a barrier, it should be open to everyone. Wolfgang holds a BSc in computer science, is a DEKRA-certified AI officer and brings more than ten years of IT experience, much of it with clients in the sensitive pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.

Since then we have run more than 120 training sessions and worked with over 1,300 people – from the local citizens’ office to the executive floor. What matters to us: we are based in the region, and you have one dedicated contact person who is still reachable after the seminar ends.

What we offer

Our work covers four areas of expertise – knowledge and implementation, each for AI and for IT:

  • AI knowledge: training that makes artificial intelligence tangible – from the fundamentals through AI in everyday office work to prompt training. Our courses meet the AI literacy obligation under Art. 4 of the EU AI Act, certificate of attendance included.
  • AI services: from idea to working solution. We set up AI agents and automations inside your processes, draw up AI usage guidelines for your organisation and, if you wish, support you as an external AI officer.
  • IT knowledge: digital skills for your team – office efficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook, awareness training for data protection and IT security, safe working online.
  • IT services: dependable support for your IT – consulting and support, choosing the right tools, software development and delivering entire projects.

For companies and public administrations we run seminars in Waldshut-Tiengen or on site at your premises. And because digital skills are not just for the workplace, there is the ValBit Academy: open courses on smartphones, PCs and AI for private individuals – taught by the same people who train companies and public authorities.

How we work

Our method comes down to three words: inspire – enable – accompany.

First we show concretely what AI takes off your plate day to day. “One more thing I have to learn” usually turns into “I want to try that” fairly quickly. Then we make sure everyone can do it themselves – including the people who did not think they could. And if a question comes up later, you can reach us.

That is our promise: with ValBit you master it yourself – and we are still there.

What we will write about here

Over the coming weeks and months you will find:

  • Practical tips on AI tools that genuinely help in everyday work
  • Perspective on new developments – what actually matters for small and medium-sized organisations, and what is just marketing noise
  • Notes on security and data protection, so that AI is used safely
  • News from us: seminar dates, formats and topics we are adding to the programme

One note on our own account: what we publish here is general information and experience from our practice – it does not replace advice on your specific situation. You can read more in our notes on blog articles.
