Right of Withdrawal
For consumers booking our seminars online.
This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the German Widerrufsbelehrung, which is also attached as a PDF to every booking confirmation email.
The right of withdrawal applies to consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Independently of it, the cancellation terms in clause 10 of our terms apply to all customers (free cancellation up to and including 14 calendar days before the event; substitute participants free of charge).
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us – ValBit GmbH, Gemeindestraße 48, 79761 Waldshut-Tiengen, Germany, phone +49 7751 3049 720, email info@valbit.de – of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement, e.g. a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form on the German page, but it is not obligatory.
You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online via the “Vertrag widerrufen” (withdraw from contract) function provided on our website. If you use this online function, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium (e.g. by email) without undue delay, including the content of the withdrawal declaration and the date and time of its receipt.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested that the service begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already provided – up to the time you inform us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal – compared with the full scope of the services provided for in the contract.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal for services
In the case of a contract for a paid service, the right of withdrawal expires upon complete performance of the service if, before performance began, you expressly consented to ValBit beginning to perform the service before the end of the withdrawal period and at the same time confirmed your awareness that you lose your right of withdrawal upon complete performance of the contract by ValBit.
